Large Scale Central

A new, unorthodox, layout

I’m working on the web site Devon, but with 650 pages, it’s tough. Try the search some times, it’s on the top and bottom of every page.

I’ll get it better.

Greg I was just giving you a hard time. That is a monster website. I managed one that had ten pages and it was to much sometimes. 650 no thank you. I do use the search and sometimes I just happen to stumble onto t by blind luck. It really is a wonderful wealth of information and it is a thankless job trying to keep up with it. So I do thank you and I do appreciate it. But i likely wont stop me from giving you a hard time when I can. (http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-innocent.gif)all in good fun I hope.

I’m actually doing a video to show how to follow the menus and find stuff…

I hope I can find the video. . .(http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-tongue-out.gif) bada boom. . .had too.

It will be on the home page… of course people insist on saving links to individual pages instead of using menus to find things.

If you use the menus it is perfectly logical…

Large Scale >> Motive Power >> Aristo >> RS-3 … 4 clicks that get’s you to about 4 pages of stuff on an RS-3

Greg

Thanks Greg for sharing you’re fabulous website and staying on topic here on LSC.

New guys do tend to have a lot of questions that have already been talked to death in handfuls of threads, but if you have a question, you want an answer. So searching the archives can, sometimes, yield the answer you need, but oft times its easier to just ask. So I can see both sides of the coin here.

On the other forum, I have explained, and answered questions about, grade, what the numbers mean, and how to calculate it, numerous times. Yes, a simple search of that site would have yielded the answer, but a simple question will get someone to answer it too. If a person just doesn’t feel like answering that same old question again, someone else will. So, either way, you get your answer, but by asking anew, you start up a conversation, and conversations build camaraderie, and isn’t that what this hobby is about? Shut up Rooster.

an old thread gets revived because someone tells the op they might be neighbors

nothing significant is added to the old thread

the op never responds

and I get static for not staying on topic?

hah!

Greg, you do? Oh. Are we supposed to stay on topic? That sounds rather boring to me.

Gerg he messaged me, (until you mentioned it I had not seen that before) saying he no longer has the layout , but still is on forum. I for on think its funny to read these long threads, mainly to see where they go from the orignal topic.

hah!
