Roofing added
Thats pretty much it for the basic structure, next will be details like posters and ads, then weathering, but its layout ready at least, the rest is gravy.

Love the roof. What did you use for shingles?

Its a paper roofing product from a company called Paper Creek. They make paper building kits in HO and O, this is O scale roofing.
Us indoor guys can get away with murder
Cardboard can be beautiful
You’re right, Vic, a new low in modeling has been achieved. If it was any lower, we’d have to award you a badge for innovation in modeling.
I’m continually amazed at your skills. BZ.
I should add that I still have the original Paper Creek sheets. I just make a color copy on cardstock.
Next up is ads and weathering.
Finished, ready for the next show (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-tongue-out.gif)
As you can see the little escape scene at the back is ready for a more detailed next step. Sorry can’t show it on the layout as the show set up is a different set up than the garage base. But I promise to at the next show.
Sure can’t tell that started out as a cardboard box!
Yep, a new low, indeed. (http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-innocent.gif)

Thanks Steve, yes a new low LOL. I wonder if I made a certain recent plan hoarding rivet counting lurker go out back and chop a lot of firewood LOL. This takes " napkin building" to a whole new level because next time I can use the napkin for roofing LOL.
ROTFLMAO!

yeah lipstick…or paint, lots and lots of it
Paint, and some weathering, can hide a multitude of sins.
Somewhere there’s a 1940s, 50s, or 60s song about “lipstick, powder, and paint” and I’m hearing that refrain now
A “Bodge of Character” would be a good classification for this build.
