Nice work Mike
Mike,
As John and Dave said …Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet Nicky Luv LON tIME
Thanks guys for the comments ! Heading down to the workshop to get more done.
The CJM shop has been busy again and has made some more progress . The chassis has been completed and painted. I took one of my castings and laminated the pieces to a sheet of .080 plastic with super glue and screws. I included a square steel 1/4" bar going through the center line of the chassis. After assembly I airbrushed with flat black. I’ll spay Krylon “matte” on it tomorrow. The chassis fits real snug into the body and rests nice and flat on the shelf I built into the body shell earlier. I still have the other side to decal and then I’ll weather and finish the car. I’ll post more as progress continues. Here’s a few pic’s as of today.

Hey John I just use a toothpick to make the rivets. Its not difficult, just give it a try on some scrap for awhile.
Thanx for the above and the details re construction in yr prior post as well. I’m taking notes!
Well I finished this build today. I decided not to glue and screw the body to the frame instead I just drilled and tapped the plastic shelf and screwed it together with 10 4-40 scews. It was a lot of fun to do and am looking forward to finishing another project I started awhile back. Heres some photos of the finished boxcar. As a side note here I hope that the recent storm out east didn’t get to Nick. Hope everything is okay my friend.

Great job Mike, It came out sweet, Now the question is , will it go around your curves? No storm damage here, but cant say the same for 60 miles south
Nick
I’m happy to hear you got through the storm okay Nick. I’m gonna run my train today and i’ll find out how the car tracks. It should be.fine as it is shorter than my USA passenger cars and only a couple of inches longer than my double stack cars. I’m gonna couple it up to my shortest car and see if it stays together. I’ll post a video of it on my you tube site (todus2) soon.
Video we need Video…
Nick
Another great build I missed! A great video also. Looks real to me!

Im not impaired, my MOMMY had me tested…
That was a awesome video. What a great spot to railfan on that busy RR. The only thing missing was the toot of horns. The added radio chatter was cool. Overall very realistic.
