Nice work Hollywood.
Hollywood,
That is nice work.
But what I really want to know is if you have that station roof fixed yet ?
If the inspector condemms the roof, it will shut down passenger service
Ralph
Roof walk supports have been added to both the hoppers and the boxcars.
Boxcar doors have been installed.
And stops.
I have started the door tracks for the hopper doors. Pics as I get them figured out.
Womens work!
Progress is being made. The door tracks and associated detail parts have been added. Details.
And after adding to the cars and tracks.
Still need too add the airline and coupler pocket ends before priming.
As a visual aid on the track details.
and
platform for the brake end.
and for the boxcars.
Retainers for both cars.
the above are drilled for the pipe. coupler lever mounts for the hoppers.
and the hopper end with the details installed.
Standoffs were made for the access hatches.
Also handles for the latch rod.
And a test fit of the pieces.
edited to include the access hatch details
Cool!
So all the hatches will operate then?
Thought I would show the latch rods in place and the end roof walk supports set.
As of today all the hoppers are completed to this point. Hopefully the hatch covers will be finished by the end of this coming week. Again thank you all for the comments.
Rubbing hands together …
Nice Holllywood. I wish I had your Patience (My wife helped me spell that one lol)
good work, hollywood…
And an update on the boxcar progress end roofwalk supports, tack boards, and brake gear detailing.
I still have the piping to do on both car types. Then I can start the grab iron . I did get the ladder materials so they’ll be started soon

I wanna see that shot with paint and all the details like the brake wheel chain!
I started the brake details on the hopper cars this weekend. Connecting linkage.
In place.
Aristos’ original brake details.
Modified.
More as it happens.
I have finished the brake gear. It remains loose till after paint. Air line to the retainer installed.
The hatch covers are now finished , but have been left loose for painting.
And a close up of the hatch cover handles.
I have formed the grab irons for the hoppers, but still have the ladders and stirrup steps to make.
We want paint!
The way you are “milking” this job you should have made dairy tankers…
Seriously, these are looking super! Most impressive!
