You won’t believe it, I didn’t get around to that yet. The postman also delivered one of the Swiss post buses, didn’t get around to that either.
You are just getting a post bus, or is this a new one?
oops

Wendell Hanks said:Well, I doesn't know about LGB gnus, but I've just found an LGB Blue Train that my wife bought at a second-hand table (she says she didn't pay much) more than a few years ago and has been sitting on a shelf in my basement ever since. Just the engine and cars; the previous owner kept the other items in the set. I ran it once, briefly, when I bought it, on my Thomas layout, but the target demographic wasn't having any of that non-Thomas stuff, so I put it away and largely forgot about it. Anyway, I brought it out to the backyard yesterday, put it on the track, cranked up the electrons and away she went, sweet as you please. Not bad for a Stainz dating from the early '80s (which is when, I believe from a bit of Googling, the Blaue Zug was produced). Only glitch I can see is the headlight: sometimes it works, more often it doesn't. The red taillight appears to work OK.

Wife thinks Little Blue is cute, so I think it will be a fixture on the layout.
Question is, is it PLM or SAR?
Chris,
the problem with the light may be a simple tightening up required. These were screw-in type bulbs and were well known to unscrew regularly, losing electrical contact. Pull the wire out from the bottom of the headlamp and check the bulb for tightness.

Well, depends on the hemisphere I guess!
