Now if you had some 3 axle ones I could use for my mason bogie!!!, great work, Bill

it is in 1:15. but downscaling should be no problem, i think.

Thanks, just a little too modern for the period it’s a buckeye truck used on heavy equipment and tenders like the Hudson’s pulled, looking for something older looking even if it looked like the aristo commonwealth trucks it would be good, Thanks again, Bill

I’m just getting caught up on this forum and I’ve just read this entire thread. Very impressive work! It seems several of you have printers. Alas, I do not. But it would be cool to do stuff like this.

Now I’m thinking about all the projects I could finish if I had a printer… including trucks! I need trucks for 2 boxcars (three?? maybe??), but the cost has delayed that purchase so far.

I am really bummed over the “quality” of the Ozark Miniatures Tulsa Convention tank car. One truck fell apart after I removed the excess paint on the axles. I don’t know much about trucks, but if your files are available as .stl, I have access to both a DaVinci and some Makerbot printers and could try them out. The wheels are metal and seem OK, once I get all the gunky paint off of them. It looks like the just dipped the truck and wheels in a paint can!

Dick, what style trucks are you looking for and in what scale?

I’m looking for fairly modern two axle trucks. I think the tank car is 1:29, but if I were making my own trucks, I’d probably make them 1:32. The tank would just be a little larger. I’m not where I can measure the tank to be sure. I’d also use San Val metal wheels, which are about 33 mm in diameter.

The KaDee trucks won’t work?

Dick, would either of the trucks below work?
