Large Scale Central

2nd Annual RGS Ops 2018

Any thing along Rt 30 is a PITA. It’s all tourist stuff. And it’s closer to an hour drive from up there. I’d stick with West Chester. Rts 926 and 52 are your best routes here. And the bridge is open on 926…(https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)

Ric was asking me how I would go to Boston. I’d just reverse the directions I gave him and say to you, 684 to 287 to the NJ TP and follow that to the Delaware Memorial Bridge. 41 will bring you about 2 miles north of here.

Thanks - I had a feeling going toward Lancaster might be a bad idea. Tha’s similar to the route I took down last year. I turned West a little too early. I’ll do the Delaware Memorial Brigde this time.

EDIT to add: Last year we came across the Commodore Barry Bridge on 322 and went to the hotel in West Chester first to check in. That looks better if doing the same this year. If we get there earlier I’ll some to your place first up 41.

Either/or will work. I try to avoid 322 because of all the construction going on. But that’ll get you to West Chester faster.

Doug Matheson was asking about staying is Strassburg. Him and Steve McKenzie are are planning to come down, and drag Paul with them. I gave him the same recommendation. Either the Longwood/Kennett area or WC.

Dang. I’m not going THAT way!!!

However, I’m really looking forward to seeing all you folks again! Too much fun?

Me too Bruce?

The Caboose motel is on Rt 741 …I love that RT but getting too it is the problem. However once on 741 Kens place is a breeze. Note Amtrak comes through Gap Pa …neat town

I used to use 741 in the 18 wheeler to avoid Rt 30 when I had to run to Denver, PA. Less traffic lights, less traffic.

Will get some pictures? Sounds interesting. Paul

Somebody will, I hope…
