If more people were bothered by off subject topics and thread drift, there would be heavy moderation, and probably a lot less of us as participants.
Totally understood, Pete. I’m often worried about what you bring up.
My problem is that almost all of my friends are here on this forum, and in periods when I don’t have anything trainly to post on, well, I tend to go off the rez…
I see threads like Roosters (well, some of mine in fact, and Bill’s) to be a sort of relief valve of… of what? I guess wanting to communicate with buddies, when I don’t have anything railroady to bring up.
Maybe there needs to be a different Topic category for this sort of thing, don’t know.

And Cliffy actually has a IRL friend about 45 min away, me! We meet at a dive bar periodically to discuss life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, but just ending up talking trains.

Quite happy with the deportation offer Korm as long as you didn’t mean from Australia. But a trophy, car and trip to Paraguay sounds like a good reason to re-up too.
