TIME TO GET THE ITTY BITTY PIECES STUCK ON
Seems like they are all itty bitty pieces and they play havoc with my arthritis and my eyes. (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-yell.gif)
48 HOURS LEFT!
To Finish Sticking On
All The Little Bits...!!
Tick-Tock, Tick-Tock, Tick-Tock, Tick-Tock, Tick-Tock, Tick-Tock, Tick-Tock, Tick-Tock, Tick-Tock, Tick-Tock, Tick-Tock, Tick-Tock, Tick-Tock, Tick-Tock, Tick-Tock, Tick-Tock
“Tick-Tock, Tick-Tock, Tick-Tock, Tick-Tock, Tick-Tock,”
Which brings to mind the story of the man whose mantle piece clock stopped going “Tock.” He told some friends about the problem, and they recommended an elderly German clock repair man, who had a shop downtown. The man took his clock into the shop. “Was ist loss?” asked the repair man. “Well, this clock used to have a normal ‘Tick-Tock, Tick-Tock’” said the owner, “But now it just goes ‘Tick–Tick–Tick.’” “Ach, leave it with me; I fix.” said the old clock fixer. As the clock owner left the shop, he heard the old clock fixer saying, “Ve have vays of making you Tock!”
Ducking & weaving, David Meashey
Thank you David…!!! That would have been my Dads favorite joke, had he heard it before he passed a few years ago… He was that Little ol clock maker, in the overstuffed shop downtown… You brought back good memories and put a smile on my face…
LAST 24 HOURS
Try not to glue your fingers together in the rush!
But, but, but, but, Dave … I need more ti …ahh, heck I got to get to work (https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)
I’ve been too busy since my last posting so I’m calling it done. At least it is finished even if it’s missing a few things I wanted to add.
Thats a wrap on Mik's Build Challenge 2021
WOW!!!!
What a year of Builds. You guys pulled out all the stops. What GREAT builds!
Todd's MEGA Building is now the official "Biggest Mik Build" ever! May never be surpassed. WOW!
Jim'S "Backwoods Still" raises the bar way high for attention to detail, over the top!
The Hawaii Muller Clan, again, Pulls out the Lighthouse that outshines all others, and screams MIK!!
Todd B's tipping "Out House" falls only slightly lower on animation than his "California Dreaming" From 2015.
Eric pulled off "Bernie's Ride" of the year.. and IMO "Best Use of Tin"!
John's pike has the grandest "Caboose Repair Shop" anywhere, even with sky lites.. all from 1 can.
1st Engine built from scratch, ever, pushed Devons time limit to the max. Another WOW!
And we have a wide collection of Water Tanks, Q-huts, Fuel Tanks, Tank Cars, RootBeer Stand, and even a Rubealattor.
GREAT JOB GUYS & OD & YD..........
Well apparently the “Albums” will not let me upload photos to my Albums, even though I’ve deleted some, (they just don’t upload even though they say they should) and my Freight Shed is full.
So I guess some of the photos from Miks #17 in the freight shed are gonners. (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-yell.gif)
@ Todd… PM BOB C. and see what he says to do…
I just put them on the JBL site. But it is very full and I like to reserve that for my audio stuff. Luckily, they give me unlimited space. Also, it does not “play well” with some sites due to security settings. On some sites the pics must be copied into and displayed in a separate tab. I hope that is not the case here. Those pics I have posted replaced some in the Freight Shed.
Thanks
I think I say this every year but man we out did ourselves this year. The scratch building talents of this group are great. And such diversity. Thats the most fun part is seeing what everyone comes up with on these challenges.
Dave T.,
Thanks as ever for hosting the contest. Something about choosing cans brought a real burst of creativity with no sacrifice to craftsmanship!
We’ll get our pictures up tomorrow!
Eric
Wow. I am just blown away by this year’s models!
I think EVERY ONE that entered was a true winner and I enjoyed ALL of the build logs.
Well done to everybody and a VERY BIG THANKS to Dave Taylor for not only keeping the tradition going, but coming up with some really great ideas year after year! This year was awesome!!!
Bruce hit the nail on the head. Great builds, all of them!
Come on people, lets see the rest of your entries!!! Y’all are building some suspense!!
What project again?
Oh that half completed one sitting on my workbench? Nh I’ll wait to show it off when it’s done.
