Ken, how did you get that to work?
I quoted your post, then went to the source code for where your picture is stored, copied the “http ://www.largescalecentral.com/FileSharing/user_1152/2-18%20Challenge/dedicate.jpg” part, then pasted it in google and brought up the page the picture was on.
Then hit “Open Image in New Tab”, which gave me just the picture URL, copied that URL then pasted that in the Inset Image box.
PS: I’m not on a MAC either.
That is bizarre! It used to be so simple! John Passaro has also come up with a solution. He is going to take me through it later today. Let’s see what he does!
Good luck, Doug. I more than sympathize with you.
It isn’t all that difficult, but that’s easy for me to say. I got a regular old PC.
I may have at long last solved the picture posting problem I had with the Mac!
I worked with John Pessaro last night but had no luck but he gave me a couple thoughts worth retesting.
Our internet was so slow last night that the Mac wouldn’t copy the image location. I had been copying it from the location at the top of the screen when it was in the Freight Shed but it never worked. When it is copied from the picture it apparently picks up something in addition to the Freight Shed location and that worked! Thank you John!
Not only was the picture problem apparently solved but construction got under way on Doug’s Place. I hope to start framing walls tomorrow! Hopefully I will have some pictures!
What’s yer rush?
I just added a post it with wood dimensions and warmth is returning!
Crongrats on resolving the pics, now it can happen!
Isnt the location at the top of the screen the URL for the whole page? It is in a Winders environment. What you want is the URL for just the picture, that’s why you copy from the picture itself.
URL being confuser speek fur where da heck izzit?
David, I think you are right but that code used to work fine for just the picture.
Now that I just sit and wait for the picture code to come up everything will work fine. Years ago when we had dialup I thought things went slow but Verizon Wireless in this area is even slower than that!
Despite the cool weather today construction on the base for Doug’s Place will be completed and I may even get a wall framed! More pictures will be on their way soon!
Today turned out to be a nice day for building.
The recycled dock is repaired and done, the base for the storage building, the floor and most of one wall are nearly finished.
Pictures should be on the way tomorrow.
Even though the first wall went up today Doug’s Place is active since the loading dock is open.
Hopefully I will get some more work done on Friday!
Coming along Doug
Townspeople from Bishop celebrated today because not only did more walls go up but Pabst delivered beer for a big celebration! Once residents recover from tonight’s celebration the final wall will go up and work on the siding will get underway.
The second and third wall were framed today. It was a beautiful day in the studio!
Cool scene. I could see myself living in that town (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif).
Looking good Doug!..I see you have the Beer Car for the work crew on the siding…I like how the wood has different texture and color of the grain… pretty cool !
I need a 1 by 4 by 24" piece of my seasoned redwood to finish this project! Guess I will be cutting lumber tomorrow! Has anyone else made too much sawdust? My 12-inch saw blade was just too thick!
This is operating crazy with the Mac today! The walls are up, the door set and fitting under way for the first rafter. I was operating with the Feb. 14 deadline so this may not get done. We shall see!
The boardshe boards are up but now comes the battens.
