Andy really missed you. He was grumpy the whole weekend. (Oh, wait a minute…) (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)

I got a little bit of video of some of the Garden Railway Society displays. Here’s a short video of them. Search on YouTube and you’ll find a lot more.

Thanks Scott!

Nice Scott. Subscribed to your Channel too.

Hey finally got my pics downloaded from ECLSTS… I am not the professional photographer that most of you are so no nitpicking.

Here is Bruce’s amazing Fire Station.

Brunt Station

Jack’s stage coach. I made the mistake of putting my caboose down next to it which is probably why nobody remembers seeing it.

and most importantly… I got the T-shirt!

Whew!!! What a great time. I look forward to seeing you all again next year.

Hmmmmmm

And today is what day?

Yup, you is no professional. Next time, when you photoshop your caboose into a scene, you need to edit out the original background around the caboose.

Great time at the show. Did all of you notice how everyone was enjoying themselves at the layout and the Drag n’ Brag? Definitely was because of a missing non-flying avian or was it. Didn’t spend much but this year that wasn’t part of the plan. Can’t wait to see some of you this summer or at ECLSTS 2018.

Never have seen any pictures dedicated to the ALCOVE…was there anyone in the Alcove, or was there a photo ban in place for some security reason ?

Some photos of the other layouts show the sparsely manned ALCOVE way off in the distance, but in all those pictures and videos, the photographers seemed to be avoiding any contact with the ALCOVE…was it some sort of boycott or something ?

Alcove pictures are posted regularly Fred. I threw some up in the :

Maybe you just don’t see them(http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)

Sorry, Fr. Fred, but did you really need another picture of Ken Brunt giving the “Referee’s Salute”?

Lou, and Dave;

Another picture of Ken is fine with me…as long as he is smiling ! There are others besides Ken who usually show up in the ALCOVE, and not all of them attend the Drag & Bragg. It is always great to see changes that Ric has made to the switching puzzle, and what was on display.

For some of us who can’t attend for whatever reason; pictures taken in the ALCOVE, and the D&B are the only way we have of remembering our friends, and new ones.

It used to be that pictures taken of the ALCOVE were all over the place, but this year I haven’t seen any. What about the guy that, for several years took “Mug Shots” of everyone in the Alcove, so we could put names to pictures of people we only hear of/from, on the chat or forums…where was he this year ?

Morning Fred,

That was Lou that always took the pictures with the person’s name on the grease board. I think he finally learned most everyone’s name, so he didn’t need the name board. There were lots of people off and on in the “Alcove”, but I guess camera time was just limited. What was really noticed this year was the lack of kids. I think those kids have gotten old enough to not accompany Dad, and yet are not old enough to have kids of their own.

Ric is right. There did not seem to be as many kids.

I did not take any pictures because all of the people I saw were already taken.

I will look through my phone again to see if there was anything new. I did take pictures at the D&B. I have noticed that of all the videos posted, the Alcove shows as one white blob.

What happens in York stays in York!

I am already taken?

The white light coming through the doors and windows of the old entrance always gives us plenty of light. There is a little feeling of entering the white light of the Twilight Zone as we go through the 36 hours of an ECLSTS weekend. Many times its all a blur and we almost see ourselves walking in as we walk out and its over again for another year.
