No.
I am saying I would be prepared to compromise my views if the existence of God could be proven.
Until that happens, or David accepts my offer to compromise, I can only accept that EVOLUTION must be the only explanation as to how we came to this point in time.

Are you saying that by you not being able to prove God exists, Evolution must be correct?

Whilst you and I could likely agree on a compromise. David apparently cannot.

I guess you will never compromise your views then.
I believe there is no evidence of evolution beyond Homo Erectus.
But I am not so narrow minded to believe there will never be that evidence.
I am also open minded enough to understand an “accident” of nature could be a “miracle” of God.
Individualy, we will have our proof soon, although we will be unable to pass it on.
I hope neither of us experiences our time of enlightenment anytime soon =)

I believe in the existence of God and that He was responsible for creation. The exact nature of how creation was carried out is the point in dispute. I believe that God set the building blocks in motion, allowing His plan to fulfillment over the billions of years the process took, by guiding each step. We only know that our solar sytem components, like our earth, are around five billion years old. How old might be the billions of other sytems in existence? Remember that time is infinite and we have experienced but a mere nano-second of existence in the plan. I believe that one would have a greater appreciation and wonderment of God, by experiencing the learning of His greatness, that unfolds every time a discovery is made of our world’s existence. Creation Science puts every thing in place in six days. More like a magic trick.

If someone awoke me one morning and gave me a new car at my front doorstep, I would be truly appreciative. However, if I was taken to the car plant and saw every step in the manufacture of the car from excavating the iron ore, to distillation of oil for plastics, to the individual component assembly lines, research and development and to the final paint and assembly, then I would have a far better understanding of the work that went into the car and a greater respect for it and its manufacturer. I see this analogy with creation.

I mean when our time comes, we will find out if that is all there is.
I’m in no hurry to find out. Didn’t think you were in any hurry either =)

Tony,
My experience tells me what to expect.
I’m still in no hurry to find out I’m right

Did I read correctly…someone found my old tools…?

Please send them to me; I’ve been looking for them for a long while, and couldn’t remember where I left them…

…been seeing the light for years, but sometimes the extension cord is not long enough, and I have to resort to going back to a Seal Blubber lamp, or make do with Whale oil…sad…we need longer extension cords…I left my longest one some-place…did they find it with my tools. ???

Back then the problem wasn’t extension cords; it was trying to find a recepticle to plug into !!!

Deleted

…ahhhh yes, those recepticles too…but the “Cover plates” are different…!!!

The experience we call ‘life’ is no more than a single bright spark between two eternities.

Or as the great philosopher Yogi Berra once said, “It’s deja vu all over again.”
