Cleaning vehicles

I always pick up my cars/trucks/people in late fall. When I got them out this spring I decided to clean them up some, which helped a lot. I used car wax on the ones that looked like that would help and it really did. Ones that had no shine but good paint did not seem to polish up, after trying it one one I switched over to Krylon Clear that has a UV blocker and it sure spruced them up nice. With it seeming harder to find cheap die casts like I used to find at Walmart and Tractor supply one might want to baby our stuff some. Touching up people with new paint is next.

I do the same thing in the fall around here too . I have a problem with the vehicle windows yellowing real bad . I tried that headlite plastic cleaner on some of them but it didn’t work too good for me.

I’ve used Papilio Polyfocus laminate sheets. It is clear and blocks UV rays pretty well. It will sort of bubble over the year, but peels off to reveal a clear windshield. Might last two years but that is about it. I should probably put it on again, since it is hard to find cheap die cast anymore.

I re-painted the figures that survived last year with some acrylic paint. I like the Lemax figures and generally have good luck with them. Harder to find them anymore also, picked up a few at Xmas here and there.
