Whats is everyone doing for replacing modern trucks?

the prices for aristo trucks exceed $100 on ebay

does anyone have any other sources?

I get plastic trucks from USA trains… Use Bachmann Steel wheels in them… I’ve been using the USA trucks to replace the small side framed trucks on my Bachmann 3 bay hoppers… Used to be, USA trucks came with the old style sideframes, and I got a bunch of the newer style side frames to replace the older style.

Al Kramer, known as anakramer on the eBay, (or SanVal website for email orders) is now selling what seem to be his own brand of plastic freight trucks. These are what appear to be 70 ton roller bearing trucks non-sprung of similar construction to USA trains plastic trucks. I’ve not yet bought any of these, but I do have some of his current run of ball bearing wheels and I think they’re great!

As stated Ro has a few to choose from. The all metal trucks with wheels are VERY nice and you can get 4 sets for under $100 with a choice of 33" or 36" wheels and the coupler arm is removable with a screw. Or you could go with the plastic ones. You can contact USA directly or Robbie at RLD can hook you up as well. They aren’t a plug and play for Aristo stuff but they will work. I have seen your builds so I don’t think plug and play is an issue.

I talked to the Kadee people last week at the NMRA convention. There will be rollerbearing trucks available soon.

I bought a couple of Kadee’s new metal trucks… Haven’t tested them yet, to see how they run… The design is quite unique…

I don’t know what version they will be. All I do know is that they are coming. Maybe an e-mail to Kadee will get you an answer and possible release date.

I have been getting Trucks (less wheels) from An Affair with Trains (www.aawtrains.com). They are USA Bettendorf Trucks or Archbar Trucks. The webstore price is $6.71 each (not a pair).
