SAR ballast car article....

on the UK 16mm Association ‘model of the month’ page. Some of you might recall that earlier this year I posted details of a scratch-built ballst car?

Ok, maybe not.

However, for those that do, and expressed a wish to see more of the how-to, here is a link to the page showing the detailed build -

Very handsome car. The results are fantastic considering the investment in materials. I would have to encourage you however to give the following sister cars the same riveting detail. I really think it adds to the feel. Well done!

Very nice Terry. Congrats (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-laughing.gif)

Thanks, guys, you are too kind to this old futzer. Since I made this, a couple of friends with the skills nad equipment have made me a laser-cut wooden kit of basic parts to play with, and so far the results have been great. When we get back to yesterdayland I’ll be writing THAT up and post it for you to see.

Whinemeal, I’ll be talking to Phil for some more of his beautiful nuts and bolts and grab-irons, afore he stops makin’ em.

Best to all
