Logging Truck Solid Flanged Wheels

I am planning to build a 1:20.3 logging truck inspired by an old photo. The innovative logging outfit replaced the wheels from a 30’s era truck with solid flanged wheels. The rear wheels appear to be about the size of a large truck tire (perhaps 36-40"). The flanged wheels are solid with a few circular holes cut into the wheel. Does anyone know where I can get similar wheels I can mount on a power unit such as the NSWL Stanton drive, or perhaps the power unit in the B’mann Gandy Dancer?

Bill,

I have no clue as to an answer to your question but I love weird RR equipment. Could you post a pic of it?

I think that Sierra Valley makes something similar, though I didn’t see it on their web site http://www.sierravalleyenterprises.com maybe if you give him a call or e-mail?

Bill …do you have a picture of the prototype you could share?
