For the tight spots

Adding crusher to build up the planum at Bergün results in some of it getting into the frog and throw bar area on turnouts. Someone somewhere mentioned using a stiff tooth brush, on which the handle has been sharpened to a point, for easy cleaning.

Works very well and is bent at the required angle.

I wonder if a battery operated electric one would work better? Probably harder to get the handle sharp and still hold the battery in, but it may be an option to try.

I took an old 4" paint brush and cut off about 1-1/2" from the bristles and tapered the back end of the handle to form a wedge shape to use when ballasting the track. Same principal. I like your idea of using a toothbrush for switch points.

If nothing else, you can use it as a shank in prison…

Have tried the cut off brushes, and other remedies… Use a regular screw driver as an uncoupling tool… It also works to get grit and stuff out of the way for swtiches… Saves having to carry too many tools…

I can’t use one , my toothbrush is electric (1/22.5 scale of course)

Actually , the toothbrush is a good idea , they have many useful applications .

Just a bit of lateral thinking is required .
