My brother gave me a 2-4-2 in pieces, and I needed a smokestack, among other things. In this instance, I used a 2 inch piece of 1/2" diameter copper tube and a couple of ferrules. Although not perfect by any means, it gets the job done.

You can get some different sizes/shapes at your local plumber/ac shop. The AC fittings are pretty handy, different sizes than the plumbing copper shapes.
