After some rough figures, I’m looking for a way to get the cost down on the center sill. It is by far the most expensive piece to this. I inquired about a custom extrusion, but was told part of the profile is too thin for brass. He suggested Aluminum could work for my shape, but how can I attach the brass striker face to an Aluminum center sill? Does anyone have any experience with soldering brass to Aluminum that can chime in here?
