Large Scale Central

sd 40-2 detailing

It looks as if had those pictures been taken outside instead of on the bench we’d be hard pressed to tell it’s a model. The shading, the rust, the fading all lead to an excellent job. Great work John!

Effective weathering, not to much but not too little. The one area that I noticed tends to forget to be weathered is the walkways. Behind both doors, and on walkway in front on the firemans side always seems to have a lot of paint wear from boots. Maybe a little silver dry brushing would simulate this?

Gee, that looks like the one down on the island. Looks good.

Wow, looks great!

Man, I need to learn to do that. What a cool way to get the older part of the fleet to look dated.

Hey by the way, what’s Dave R’s reputation? 12 -24??? What does that mean?

Don’t mess with the boss!

we had hopefully our last snow of the winter

I got her out before the melt to snap some pics

Beautiful! That is impressive!

Outstanding work!! Did you happen to see my question about the plow that you used? I wasn’t sure which one as there are two sold by the site you referenced.

Great work John. Looks like it’s ready to go to work.
