One off Spokane Portland & Seattle caboose paint job

I still get blue on the side of the caboose (the sky in the back is the right blue, and more importantly the cloud is pretty pure white)

But the forward facing side of the cupola sure looks like a different color, could be green.

Weird.

Bruce Barney It is SP&S Broad Stripe Green and SP&S Dulux Gold (yellow) with a SP&S Broad Stripe Green Herald.

Bruce Barney SP&S Dulux Gold (yellow) lettering. It is assumed some employees in the car shop decided it would look good and did it when it was shopped. Higher ups hated it and it did not last long at all, they sent it back to the car shop soon after it was released. It did make the mainline but for a very short period.

Keith Wiles You beat me to the story Bruce. I also heard from my Father it was involved in a derailment between Pasco and Spokane and when they repaired it, it was painted red and white again.

So, there you have it. The suits hated it, and it didn’t last very long. I like it. I might just paint one of my Aristo crummies in that scheme.

Painting an Aristo caboose would be a just “tribute” in several ways!
