Just a test on photos

Huzzah! That’s all we were all saying. Glad you finally got it to work for you. Nothing has really changed, just as Bob was telling you all along. (http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-smile.gif)

Ok found there is a difference in frt sheds here… Old frt shed, I fine the photo I want and hi-light the URL, right click and copy and paste it in the Image box. It works and goes in…

New frt. shed can’t do the same hi light URL of a photo. Now have to right click on the photo and copy image location. There is a difference.

I go to another siite storage and like the old frt shed, just hi-light the URL and right click and copy. “copy and paste it.” Then paste it on image box here. It been working ok and been doing that for years.

Now after Joe Z. show us the new way to do it, it is simple if know how. Again …thanks for Joe Z walking us thru.

Noel,

You are correct. They do work differently as to what you copy and paste. I always did it the way I explained whether old or new Freight Shed. (http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)

Joe Z… Guess us old guys still use a lot of the old way due to back days of using computer like, like the old Comadors and Win 3.1. A lot of changes has been made thru the years, and lots of difference computer and browser do difference things. Sure love the old win 98 and XP when they came out.

Only other problem we have is not a big thing but take time. Our mail on getting URL links … All URL short cuts usually only have to Right click on them and up come a browser with the Link on it., but not LSC.com in mail using win.live mail or yahoo mail. We have to copy and paste the URL to to a new browser see it. We found and talk to a lot of guys with new computers out here using window 8 or 8.1 and win. 10. have the same problem as us… It might be just a setting we don’t have compatible to LSC programs. But that’s no biggie to copy and paste it.

Noel,

Let me try to understand what you are saying. By URL short cut are you meaning a hyperlink like you have “Our Videos” in your signature line?

When you right click on it in Win7/Firefox this what you get… and you can select a new tab or window…

No Joe. The site of LSC.com is ok …

It just our Mail from LSC only show a link in black type. Can’t click on it.

We get this. ( in Black lettering-http://www.largescalecentral.com/forums/topic/26075/sf-amp-bhc-r-r-backers-acres-track-changes/view/post_id/322996)

When others subscribed post is send us a link in our mail, like Garden R.R. Maz or another train sites, it show in a color to click on and when click on it it open up a browser of the link.

We get this if in color http://wwwlargescalecentral.com/forums/topic/26075/sf-amp-bhc-r-r-backers-acres-track-changes/view/post_id/322996

Around here with a few guys I’ve talk to seem to has the same thing happening to there mail as mine.

Probably a setting in our computers need changed. also might be win 8 or win 10 stuff.

Yea, some mail links hyperlink, and some have to be copied and pasted. I do not know why. Actually, I never even thought about it much, because its no big deal, to me, to copy and paste. I always seam to have a browser window open for something anyway.

And yes, I miss my 98se laptop. I seldom had an issue with it, right up to the day the power supply went south on me.
