Interesting… I was told that all railroads were under GCOR or NORAC, with the Mississippi being the dividing line. BNSF tweaked the GCOR with System Special Instructions, but a majority of the rules stay the same. I guess CSX just like to be different! All is good if the FRA agrees with the rules. :wink:

Your right about OCS. We normally got verbal OCS from the dispatcher prior to entering the OCS section. It was weird because the OCS was surrounded by CTC on both sides, and the OCS was only in effect for a few miles. As BNSF upgraded the mainlines and signals it switched over to all CTC.
