D&RGW idler flat build

Hi guys,

Here’s an update. Been away for a bit, and I also had to wait for a few more coupler lift bar brackets from Precision Scale. The parts were here when we got back on Friday and this morning I soldered them on, followed by a few coats of paint:

Once the paint has cured for a few days I will add the lettering. I plan to use dry transfers from Clover House and CDS and they don’t adhere well to fresh paint. After that a bit of weathering and it’ll be finished.

The rest of my lettering arrived today. She’s done:

And yes, that’s real fresh snow. It’s been snowing here since September 8th, which is beginning to seem like a long time ago!
