It was recommended I use a Visation FRS7 in my Annie. But I see there are two versions, an S and a W. I only know the very basics about speakers. Anyone know what the difference is between these two models? Which one is the better choice?

Good choice. I believe the FRS7 is correct. It is a 2.5" speaker and fits in where the Bachmann 3" round was mounted. That is what I use in most installs. I looked up the W and found it on the FRWS5 2" speaker. Wide dispersion.

What sound system are you using? This speaker comes in 4 ohm or 8 ohm. DO Not use the 4 ohm with the Revolution system only the 8 ohm.

Thank you. I plan to use a Zimo MX696S decoder. It apparently can use both 4 or 8 ohm speakers. I will probably get the 8 ohm version. I assume the FRS7S is normal dispersion? I guess wide dispersion is best for this application since it is downward firing?

Since the Zimo decoder is spec’d for 10 watts into a 4 ohm speaker, use the 4 ohm. You will get approx. half the power with 8 ohms.

I use the lowest spec from a sound generator for maximum output of sound.
