So I have an aristocraft heavyweight doodlebug I picked up last year at a g scale show. though I am more narrow gauge, I couldn’t pass on the price. I want to do a lot of modification so it doesn’t look like every other one out there, and also to give it a little more of a narrow gauge feel. I plan to shorten it, and make a short trailer from the leftover parts. Anyone else bashed one of these and care to share what they did to them?

Whoa, live steam would be cool. Do you have any more photos of it?

Oh man that is gorgeous!
How about turning your Doodle Bug into a Doodle BIGGER! Have you seen the one I built this year for Mik’s Challenge? I had a bit of fun with it but maybe it will give you some ideas.
Thats cool. probably won’t go bigger as it is already a bit big for me to run at some layouts, but it does give me some ideas. nice work
I’ve always been keen on this one

A few years ago I took a Doodlebug and turned it into a Pennsy MP-54 Combine. I did shorten it.
Here’s mine. I haven’t got around to painting it yet.
Impressive work gents. John, that is really neat. and somewhat tempting as I do have a mogul drive laying around
