Cab Forward

There’s been some interest about my Cab Forward.

John Passaro asked (Quote)"John, do you paint the LGB track black? I love that bridge. Also, did you scratch build/add the cab on the locomotive? And one more question, what’s on that tender? Sorry for all the questions, but I really like the looks of it all.

edit: wait a minute, when John C says cab-forward, does that mean the cab you built is actually the front of the locomotive, and that tender is on the back?"(end quote)

JP, the track is naturally oxidized to a nice dark brown. I did scratch the cab and added the rear pilot and other goodies to the loco. On the tender is an oil tank taken from a toy oil truck. IN the EI&R back shops the crew makes use of anything laying around.

I’ll post some more pics later. This is the only one I have.

I have an 0-4-0 that runs fine but it is a crash survivor. I think that this winter it will get a new cab and become an 0-4-0T!

Really cool!

Now that’s a unique creature; and you have a quite inventive shop crew.
