A rail car visits the W&Q

Jim Coplan brought his rail car over for a spin.  He recently moved from outside Philadelphia to North Carolina...this is one of his newest projects.  he and his wife Judy are on vacation here in Maine.

The rail car is based on a metal kit and Slater's wheels and a geared motor.

Very cool! Love the rail car.

Like how you threw your handcar in there as well.

I didn't see the rail car without the trailing car. Is the trailer a battery car?

The batteries are under the deck in the little flat, electronics in the crates.

Today one of my Maine freinds hosted a little steamup at his place in Boothbay.  John has a beautiful layout nicely planted with native spruce trees and blueberry bushes as well as some thyme ground cover.  it is a loop to loop run with the option of a smaller loop Roundy - Round.

Jim brought his rail car which put on a good show!
