Glue that will withstand smoke fluid ?

I have an Aristo smoke unit that I need to glue some styrene to.

Can anyone recommend a glue for this application.

Thanks

Sean

I screw plastic to the bottom of these units as there is plenty of room for screws at the fan end.

This location is the top, in the vicinity of the hole were smoke exits and the smoke fluid goes in & spills , etc.

Thanks

I’d still try for a mechanical connection. That smoke fluid is a solvent and softens a lot of stuff. I think the smoke unit itself is that slippery plastic that hates glue, so solvent welding is probably out.

Take some silicone glue and see if the smoke fluid softens it??

Hmm thanks… so maybe I can sandwich a thin piece between the top of the unit and Eric’s piece…

It should work.

Sean I have used J-B Weld and had good luck with it

Why? Would it hurt to leave it as is?

I have to pull one apart, but wouldn’t smoke leak out those slots?

Dave that is what I was thinking and I’ll just try it when I get the part, this question is plan " B "…

Greg my thoughts as well , so I will try it like I said to David… then try to place a thin piece of styrene on top under Eric’s piece …we’ll see…
