Large Scale Central

Bachmann 2-6-0 Industrial Mogul

A few weeks ago my railroad acquired 2 Bachmann Industrial Moguls. After a stint in the shops adding weight and sorting out traction problems, they have become my favorite locos. With 14 wheels picking up power from the rails, they run remarkably well even on marginally clean track. Now they can pull 5-6 car trains with no wheel slip on my level tracks.

nice.

did they cost an arm and a leg, or just a leg?

what is the other loco in the pic? are they the same scale?

Korm,

I acquired both of them used (the one in the picture from a LSC member). They were reasonable I thought and I always like them even knowing their short comings.

The Mogul is a Bachmann Big Hauler so 1:22.5 scale. They were rather small locos. The green Southern Railways Crescent Limited Pacific next to it is actually a smaller scale 1:29th Aristocraft loco. It is huge for my railroad, but was given to me as a box of parts from my good friend Bud Harriss. With the help of Nico Corbo who supplied new axle gears to me, It is now resurrected. Anyone care to trade for a USA Trains GP30?
