As those of us in the USA prepare for our annual gluttony fest, it seems to be the right time to reflect on what we should be thankful for.

Give thanks for the friendship, the hobby we share, the life we get to live.

As we travel to family and friends or have family and friends traveling toward us, may everyone arrive safely and the warmth and happiness embrace all of us.

Thank you to the people that are working and protecting our lives and freedoms and a special thanks to those that have to be away from their homes and family during this Holiday.

Have a most enjoyable time tomorrow all who celebrate the day. Keep safe who travel and if the day is not as happy a time as in previous years do reflect on the joys of times past.

I’m thankful that I am among the fortunate few that don’t have to travel, this year. Only 3 miles, over country roads, to our friend’s house. After dinner, before dessert, we’ll go out behind the barn, and make a joyful noise, with instruments of … umm … well, instruments of noise. I’m thankful every day that I have a comfortable place to sleep; abundant food to eat (well a little less abundant this year, by choice) and wonderful family and friends to share with. I hope all of my LSC family has a great Thanksgiving. Marilyn and I will be alone as usual. Friday we share a meal with Marilyn’s family who are less than a half mile away and we don’t even have to leave the neighborhood.

In refreshing this post on Thanksgiving Eve … I’m VERY thankful for LSC and the friendship/sharing LSC has given us over the years (17 to be exact.)

Heard a noise this morning, got up in the dark and kicked the coffee table … broke a toe. It was sticking up at a 45 degree angle … used a big bandage to tape it to a good digit. It’s ok until I try to walk … crawled out this morning which caused my legs to cramp …
