Large Scale Central

Promontory point, Utah

Today marks the anniversary of a golden spike driven into a tie marking the completion of the trans-continental railroad. May 10, 1869.

Ok, now it actually happened. (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)

A great day in history indeed.

A good friend of mine paints trucks and trains and made a painting of this scene:

Impressive painting!

Let’s see - I found Bruce, Andy, Hollywood, Rooster, Pete, Doc, Lou, Bob, and Ken. I know Jon is there somewhere? Cool painting!

Hehe… isn’t Jon under the light on the RH loco in the red shirt ? I spotted Nico as well (center of smokestack on the LH loco)

Pretty cool. Does capture the feel of a bright sunny day.

Color makeover sure adds to viewing. Job well done…
