Large Scale Central

ER&I crew car

After getting a tip on LSC about Wiseman Model Services, I ordered a set of journals to check them out. They arrived in 4 days. The castings are harder (denser, heavier alloy) than Ozark’s, but still easy to clean up the flashing and mold partings off of them with a file. I wish they made a few other parts to go with these.

So I started a project with them.

Working on frame today.

Started decking.

Cool! Nice start!

A little more done today.

Looks good, JB.

I like it!

That is going to be a nice crew car John. Can’t wait to see the finished product. Thanks for sharing.

look good

It reminds me that I built it a there is some years, I would have to finish him(it)

Thanks, Guys!

Jean-Gilles, yours is what I have in mind for mine. Something rustic that the shop crew threw together, using an old flat car.

My problem is I don’t have any bearded, rustic, scroungy crew members to put in it. Somebody needs to 3D print some.

Just about done.

I found some sitting Just Plain Folks scruffy figures. I built the bench 19" (1:20.3) high, and their short little stub dwarf legs don’t even come close to touching the deck. Looks like little kids in an adult normal sized kitchen chair. I might use them anyway and put another board up so they can rest their boots on it.

That turned out to be a good looking car John. I’ll take two!! (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-laughing.gif)

John

Boomer needs to make you a crew!
