Sierra Soundtraxx Battery Connector Plug

Dear members

like many before me I am replacing gel cell batteries with NiMH cells on my old Soundtraxx units. Usually I keep the battery connector plugs but on one unit the wires will not accept solder, maybe because they got too hot in the past. Anyone knows the type of connector so I can replace the thing?

Thanks, Gion

You don’t really need the connector at all. It is in parallel with two of the screw terminals and you can use those.

Thank you Todd

Gion… As Todd posted you can use the screw connections for the battery input… Polarity is critical…

#2 Screw Connector is NEGATIVE

#4 Screw Connector is POSITIVE

Thank’s for the inform. Stand. C. (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)

TOC tells me it took years for Soundtraxx to admit that, and that it’s a better way to connect the battery instead of that little white connector in bottom center.

Excellent. I’ll do it that way, and thanks for your help. Gion
