Swap/Trade/Wanted Bgger Tender

I acquired a Bachamnn Spectrum 2-6-0 Mogul recently, and I am stumped by the tiny tender. It’s probably prototypical, but it looks way too small. The 1/24th tender on my Aristo C-16 is bigger!!

SO - anyone want to swap or sell me something bigger? C-16 Aristo tender ? 2-8-0 tender ? Accucraft brass C-16 (old-style) tender ? Maybe even a Big Hauler 4-6-0 tender?

P.S. My tender, as you can see, is “used”. I think the previous owner dropped it, so there are scrapes and bits missing.

You could buy a tender from Heartland. Its almost the same tender as what is behind the Aristo C16.

Yet another 1/24th tender that is bigger than mine! Thanks for the idea.

Having a small tender behind could be a good thing. (http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-smile.gif)Or not. (http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)

(http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)I understand! Trains are not enough for you.

Pete I have a coal tender that might be just what you’re looking for, and I’d be happy to swap. I’ll take a picture tomorrow.

John,

Thanks for getting us “back on track”. (http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)

Joe, I have a Accucraft South Pacific Coast tender that matches your tender photo. Issue I think may be scale, also it’s a live steam tender w/gas tank. You did not mention whether you want elec or LS. Just to try scale comparison before I go sdarching, the platform of my tender is Approx 7 3/4 x 3 3/8. Also The LS versison has a top that is removeable to get to the gas tank, it’s missing, I bought it with the missing top for a long ago peroject. Though it’s LS no reason it cannot be a elec loco tender, just don’t uise, remove, the gas tank.

Chris

I forgot, it says Sout Paacific Ccoast on the sides and has red painted wheels. if the scale works I post a picture.

If it “matches” then how is it bigger?

I missed sumptin here

Looks the same feature for feature, although I did not get out an eye piece (http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)Scale? This is 1:20.3. I listed the platform measurements so you could compare to your pictured tender, or whatever tender you are tying to get bigger. Does that help? By platform I mean the plate between wheels and water/coal bunker.

Chris,

The tender pic is mine, and the frame is 9" x 3 3/4" , so yours is really small. My tender is 1:20.3 too - and for the Bachmann version of the 2-6-0, 4-4-0 (which I think is similar to the Accucraft loco yours came from.)

Now, it happens I have another project needing a gas tank and valve using a similar tender on a live steamer. Can I have it, please. (PM sent.)

All pieces from gas tank to gss jet. I can even provide a knob for the valve. The valve comes up through the hole on the loco end left side bunker.

I have never used the gas supply parts so cannot say things like the Ronson valve works. Or the valve gas valve doesn’t need a new o-ring

Not a problem. I have spares. Sent you a PM.

I’m happy with just the gas tank/valve/jet you photographed. Or I’ll take the whole tender off your hands ?
