Crest Revolution Lighting issue

Hello all,

I am trying to hookup my front and rear headlights to the Revo receiver but not having any luck. I get headlight 2 to switch on and off with the throttle direction but headlight 1 is on constantly. For now I have regular bulbs hooked direct to the revo (no internal loco boards). Any ideas.

Thanks

Dennis

The headlight circuits can be powered with a common power source.

On the new adapter boards it’s the center screw terminal ©.

On the old adapter boards its the blue wire HD COM.

But each headlight circuit must have it own ground.

HD1 for the rear headlight, and HD2 for the front headlight.

The Revolution receiver will lift the ground/open the circuit to turn the lights out.

Then close it to power the lights when the direction changes.

It sounds like you have HD1 connected to the battery/power source ground.

Paul,

I have them connected to the proper connections. I tried a new adapter board and an older one with the same results. On a hunch I swapped out the receiver with a new one and the problem went away. Guess I need to use the bad receiver in a loco without lights. No FRA on my RR.

Or could it be the the receiver is “set up” to do that? Can it be reset to factory settings, or programmed through the equivalent of CVs?
