Yes, I know, there have been terrible delays to get the LS QSI hardware.

They have been busy getting some new features in, and also remember HO is their biggest market. These are not excuses, but reality for a small company.

Anyway, I did download the new Diesel files recently, and they are even better that the previous ones. If you want the ultimate sound files and reality, this is it. The startup and shutdown sound sequences have the sound of the cab and other doors being operated, switches and relays clicking, the chain on the manual brakewheel, etc.

That’s just frosting on the cake, the prime mover sounds are so much better, not the constant buzz of most decoders, but the real sounds of a prime mover as it changes rpm, load shifts, etc.

I’m really happy with the EMD files, which have way more “character” than before. The Alco files are, of course, better too, and even a good running Alco sounds like it will fall apart any minute.

If you are looking for the best sounds, and can spend $200 for a decoder, you owe it to yourself to audition these units.
