      Cliff,

We wanna see The Windmill, The Colliery, 5th street district, and whatever else you can cram into your vehicle.

On a side note......I can certainly bring 2 large boxes of MR and MRC magazines (most in binders so heavy) which was gratefully shared on LSC, however I think I'm done with them as I found enough to keep me busy for quite sometime.

This post has been provided to you by LSC

Jon, acrylic scrap would be very welcome, but only if you're in the mood to haul it...

No problem getting filled up this afternoon. Paid about $.15/gal more than last tank, but still under $3.   Arvy is on the street in front of the house for loading in the morning. ETA at the Lancaster KOA is about 2-3PM.  We'll get set up and then see what's up with y'all.

So, are we all "fully vaccinated"  ?  Marilyn and I are.

Hell ya' ....ain't nothing surviving in my blood after 20yrs of Canadian Beer. But I will say that KOPS stands for "Kens Ops Session" as dubbed by Ric. Outdoor "Model Railroading Ops" has many variants and one of mine is "Photo Ops" which...never mind

      Got a few from Saturday.

According to some, this has been termed the new East Coast Large Scale train show. First thing this morning was a "mini" Drag & Brag. Cliff Jennings and Dave Marconi showed off some of their modeling skills while I scoured the house trying to find tables to set all this up. There were pictures taken of this, but I didn't get any.

Tried something new this year. A yardmaster in Delores Yard. I found from previous sessions , that the yard can get very confusing when a train from Porter arrives and one from Delores is getting ready to leave. I printed out a switch list for Delores Yard and Bruce agreed to give the yardmaster a try.

Jon Radder getting ready to take the first train out, while the new guy Charles Kadyk, watches Bruce switching out Delores Yard to get Jon's train ready.

Charles is from the Reading area and belongs to a group on FaceBook called
Model railroaders of Harrisburg. I posted a few pictures from last years Ops and he asked to be invited to the next one.

Jon and Charles switching out Mancos.

Jon got smart and had the younger taller guy reach all the switches.

Ric getting the "evil twins" ready to go out on the line.

Ric and Dave working in Hesperus.

Dave checking the manifest to see what needs to be done in Porter.

And here we have Rooster beating Cliffs ear about how great Amtrak stuff is.

      And the Amtrak stuff..................

Cliff finally has enough and heads over to Delores Yard to give Bruce a hand.

There were the usual "glitches", but no one seemed to complain. We only had 3 trains run, but most of us were just happy to be back together and and getting involved in this again. If this is the new normal, I'm more then ready for it. All in all, a very successful day!

More fun is store for today.

Many, many thanks to Ken for getting us all together again!   What a GREAT time!   I only took a few pictures, but, WOW, I sure had fun this weekend!

We came a bit late on Friday and everyone had already gone to dinner!   Still, it was just fun to look around - and EMPTY my car!

On Saturday, all the "cool" folk showed up with their wonderful models.

Here's Cliff and Dave Marconi.   Crud - I did NOT know it was wear your cool hat day

Apparently Bo was the only guy smart enough to hang around the ladies....that's Bev, Jan, and Jean.   (Along with Bo!)

I took on the yardmaster duties and had a great time.   I will definitely do THAT again.

Here, Ric gets ready to take out train #1.   The Railpro controller was VERY interesting.

We also had some interesting "people" attend...  Here's Rooster, "Jane-ah" (that is NOT the right spelling, but it's what it sounds like), and Rooster's Dad, good ol' whats-his-name?

Sure, we didn't run all THAT many trains, but it was great seeing every one again.

My favorite part was getting Cliff into operations.  (There's just no hope for Roosters that don't have cool hats! )

Looks like Ric is getting to run train #2 from Porter...

Meanwhile, Charles & Jon are working Dolores

Needless to say, there's a LOT of strange things around when a Rooster shows up.

But, I don't think Jon & Charles have made ANY progress...

It's just a good thing that there IS time for pictures!

But, we did discover that the dogs like balls better than trains!

What fun!   Thanks again to Ken for hosting this wonderful event.   Well done.

Thank you Ken, for kindly posting pictures of your generous opportunity for others to Operate your great railroad.  Those of us unable to travel due to the virus and aging, depend on your friendship and generosity, in order to take part in some small way, and are often forgotten by those more fortunate.                                                                                                                                                                                           Sharing as you do, is in the spirit, of which LSC is built, and good friendships are shared.  And yes...what the ECLSTS for many of us, once was.

Thank you also to Bruce, for his pictures too....

            Thank you, my friend.

Yes As an attendee I add my thanks for Ken and Bev for hosting this gathering of friends. A much needed day of relaxation and train content. I have to agree with others that this would definitely be a pleasurable morph of the ECLSTS. We can only hope that Ken and Bev continue host this gathering Great pics gents thanks for posting. I hope Sunday was as pleasurable as Saturday. and Ken one or two more each year I do not believe would hurt too many feelings.

Hopefully we "Railroaders", here in Ottawa can encourage another "Invasion of Friends", next year, to help promote the same spirit Ken is trying to maintain, only with an International flare...In July, 2022.

I'll have to run that one by the CFO, since she definitely does more in the background to get this going than I do. But another one, maybe in August, wouldn't hurt my feelings either.

Sunday was more laid back. We ran 4 trains, then broke for lunch.

Bruce pulled double duty this weekend. Yardmaster yesterday, then coaching Cliff on the finer points of operations. Here they are puzzling out Delores.

Meanwhile Jon and Ric are working Mancos.

Andy found a shady spot nearby to sit and bark orders.

Meanwhile Jan and Marilyn discuss the finer points of putting up with their husbands train nonsense.

Ric and Jon finally reach Delores.

Andy and Jane left for Maryland to visit their son, Bruce and jean left to find a garden center. Cliff left with a car load of the local agricultural specialty, mushrooms.

After lunch we ran the sweeper trains, put everything away, made sure everything was cleaned up, sat in the shade, and just had a real good time till it was time for dinner.

As far as switches were concerned Rick, I had to rebuild one, and replace a frog in another, all while dodging cars and engines. Who could ask for a better time?..............

I just want to thank all you guys for making this a such a successful event. I had a great time!

      One last picture.

Jon is fast becoming the guru on RailOps.
