Fall Run

Since it officially turned Autumn at 9:30 this morning and it was such a beautiful day, thought I’d try this out.

I see most leaves are still on your trees Ken, rather than on the tracks. Same here. I bought a blower/sucker thing recently which should make life easier when the leaves do start to fall. (https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-embarassed.gif)

My neighbors walnut tree has lost most of it’s leaves, but most of the others are just starting to turn. It’ll be another month before they start dropping.

I hope, when the tree is shaken, some of those nuts fall your side of the fence, Ken. (https://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)

Someone has a walnut tree in my neighborhood. Every spring, I’m yanking walnut saplings all over my property, thanks to this tree rats!

Ha! My parents were about 300 yards from a walnut tree and the kept finding saplings, mysterious, until one day we saw their German Shepard Penny walk over to a flower bed dig a small hole and drop a walnut into the hole, she did this several times that day. That had a large tree they left after Penny died to honor her, unfortunately it didn’t survive a wind storm a couple of year ago

Haven’t found any of those yet, but we do get plenty of maple tree sapling that spring up all the time.

The layout has really matured, Ken. Great photos. Thanks for sharing.

The trains and scenery looks great. I really like how you used the moss.
