      Marconi's Macaronis

Well, Dave felt slighted because I had not built something and put his name on it. We have "Golding's Pretzel Nut", "Brunt Junction", "BC's Ice Cream Stand" (Bruce Chandler), and now, coming soon:

      Marconi's Macaronis

He said he is sending me a check for doing this, and even took a picture of it and sent it to me. Wotta guy.

So we got the glass guys to come in and do the windows and doors.

Here is the interior layout. The grill will be behind the counter. Can you grill macaroni?

      Peeking inside:

      That's all for today, folks.

Oh I was thinking a  Mac Fac ...tory, but this will be fun too.

Just grill until it boils, flip and simmer.

Looks like Italian food will gain it's place.

Did you hire Giuseppe and Annie to run the place. Guglielmo won't help them out even after all they did for him with funding for that confounded radio contraption. Giuseppe grills a macaroni to die for or was that to die from. While Annie makes a sauce that will clean your innards.

Hate to tell you Lou but I'm pretty sure it has been done already unless you are buying into Ralph Bergs chain?

I'll have to check with the Owner to see if he can get a Franchise.

      We can't do "Macaroni Grille".

Well, there was an emergency Board meeting of Consolidated Amalgamated into the wee hours of the morning. The discussion revolved around a name change, as well as "Is this a good time to open a new restaurant?"

No decisions were made, and there was much gnashing of teeth. Now the Board Room needs a good cleaning.

;  From all supposedly, "Legitimate"  reports; the "Board Meeting" was nothing more than a Whiskey saturated bath, and shower, involving three Irishmen, an Italian, and a single Outback Australian, who wandered in off the street.

The minutes of the "Meeting" were not complete, in any way, and seem to have ended when someone broke a bottle, and ruined any decipherable writing, at the bottom of the fist and only page.

It all ended it might be imagined, when they all fell into an alcoholic stuper, only awaking 8 hours later when the fire sprinkler for some reason drenched the bunch, and forced them to seek shelter under the boardroom table, before the fire crew arrived with police protection.  They are now in the local lock-up, after four days of a rather complicated sobering up process.

        Further reports are now pending....

I notice this EBM was in the wee hours of the morning.  Usually a time associated with older folk who have to get out of bed to check the plumbing!

Now's the best time, speculate five hundred customers a day would eat at your establishment and get imbursed by Uncle Sam for the lost income since they shut you down. If that don't work I'll see if a small word with Uncle Luigi  doesn't motivate the neighborhood to pay for the meals they would have eaten with their stimulus checks for a tiny 60% fee

Well, construction continues. Doors are hung, interior lighting in the testing phase.

Wait! It looks like there is some sort of revolving sign on top. I wonder what that could mean?

That looks like a well ventilated women's washroom and lounge, unusual in that is seems overly widowed for spectator  enjoyment...

        But, rather well built...

So, trying to get some outside exercise, I wandered down to the train yards to check on "Marconi's Macaronis" and found people sitting inside with lights on. No tables yet, and no proprietor around. It looked like the same sign guy that screwed up the sign for "Golding's Pretzel Hut" was in the area doing something. Appears that there may be a revolving sign of some sort going up.

I took a quick picture and ran as the sign guy was yelling at me, but I couldn't understand him. I think he's Swedish or something.

I was shocked when I got home and looked at the picture:

Looks great, Lou.  Are you going to actually use the Marconi Macaroni name?  If not, Immagonna steal it.

Well, according to Roos, Ralph Berg has used the name already. That's why the sign maker changed the name. I had nothing to do with it.

We don't want a war with the Canadians, do we, eh?

Here's my dive diner before any weathering.  Still needs a much better looking sign.

      Hope the picture shows up!
