Large Scale Central

A couple of Garden Texture Buildings

built a small station from GT plans many years ago from strip wood I cut from the left over pieces of mahogany after making my deck. I also made the sawmill building out of mahogany too. Never really finished either ending when I got to the roof. The other day when I went to Philadelphia for the antique car banquet, I met up with a guy who had a 36” GT bridge all built and the GT lineside shack still in kit form. I bought both from him and brought them home. A couple days ago, I got out my pin nailer and assembled the line side shack. The kit came with cedar shingles so I finished up the roof and with the left over shingles, finished the roof on the small station. Painted the windows for the shack and installed them. St have to get doors and windows for the station. Fitting little things like this in while I’m restoring a couple cars that I have to finish up this year.

Nice work, Ted.

They will look good out along the line.

Very nice!

Added a brass smoke stack. Soldered a larger half round piece of brass to the top, painted it black, then Goo’p it in.

Added a steeple to the “Church Junction “ station.
