A couple new videos

A couple videos from my layout. The first one is from a nice warm day back on January 6th. I ran a grain train.

Second video is from today, the 20th.

I started out with 25 cars on this train. It wouldn’t budge. I figured it was because the rails have ice on them. So, I added a dash 9 to the front. Still wouldn’t move. Put the dash 9 on the back. It would shove the train into the lead units and they were crawling. Hmmmmm. So, I took the dash 9 off and well over half the cars. The train would move, but slowly. That’s when I noticed, the wheels on the L&N box car were not turning. It was being drug. And that car is heavy. It has two batteries in it. So, I pulled it off and swapped the trucks out for a set that was on an aml hopper. Everything ran fine after that, but I was too lazy, and cold, to bring more freight cars out. lol. So, it’s a super short train. It’s snowing again pretty good right now, maybe tomorrow I’ll run a train again. It might be time to break out the bethgons. I haven’t ran them in forever.

short train >>>no train
