Large Scale Central

a couple if interesting things

Hi pards, . . . Stockton California is an interesting place for a rail fan.

Here are two things of interest that I saw last week.

A double car that has me mystified. . . . anyone seen one like it ? What is it used for ? One center truck and bellows connector.

And an interesting “end of the line” on an old line that is used for some storage of idle cars.

I can’t get the photos to attache . . . . $#%^&^% !

Well, that’s a fine howdy doo. It was right side up till I posted it.

can’t see the pic, but an articulated chair car was all the rage back in it’s day. SP s was one I used for my build(https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)

Well that is one of them . . . . a bit upside down . . . end of the line of an old line that is still used for storage of excess cars by Stockton Terminal RR.

Note the articulated car at the tunnel(https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)

I had to stand on my head to do this, but…

I don’t know whut is going wrong . . . . tried abain to post the mystery articulated car.

Use the reply button at the top of the page…

there is a button below the text button that says Browse… but right above it, it says “File Attachment”… don’t use this unless you want to attach a file, like an owners manual pdf.

Further down there is a black button: “ATTACH PHOTO”, this is what you use to attach a photo (tricky wording huh (https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif))

Then you can browse for the picture you want to attach.

Don’t forget to click “attach selected” after you see the picture after uploading…

This method winds up with a thumbnail normally

When I get the thumbnail, there’s a way around it, but now it becomes more complicated… you attach the picture as a file… then you click on the link… then you edit the link and then you have the url for the picture… what a mess.

attaching picture as file:

So I then click on the link for the photo… then edit the junk out… I’m left with the proper URL, and I can finally post the picture:

I beg your pardon.

That was a fine looking FreightLiner hood…(https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)(https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)

Yes it is fine look’n . . . but it is a Peter-built 2005 model . . . I prefer it to the new ones that are available if I craved to drive one of 'em. . . .

I’m a lot more familiar with the view from a Mack, so I took a guess. Knew it was either/or…(https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)

sigh, no good deed goes unpunished (https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)
