He’s scared to bring his engines… hehehe (https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)

Come on Cousin Matt …grow some balls …Dad is a wuss …It’s public knowledge that mom runs the RR and will pull down your pants and beat your butt publicly with no remorse ( surprised you didn’t get a spanking for following Ken’s lead at the diamond) !

Matt, another great video, the 7:15 shot of the train heading away into the trees is great!!!. Aandy I really like your way of just having back to back locomotives, makes operating from either direction a breeze. Also like that they are not matched sets, although the SP/SF set looks odd to me since I dont ever remember seeing the 2 roads sharing locos before, not saying it didnt happen, probably did when they were talking about merging. Anyway, my 2 favorite roads. Seems like you also have only GP 38-2’s as locomotives, or thats what I think I saw. Great layout, hope to travel to your neck of the country some time for a session!

Pete, I do have quote a few GP-38-2’s… My branch line, the Evansville Western has 4 GP-38’s painted in their actual scheme of which they have 7 GP-38’s on the 1:1 railroad… However, I have a few GP-40’s also… The B&M with the Bluestone Southern loco’s are 2 of them…

The 1:1 railroad, EVWR has always tried to run with low short hoods forward for train crew visibility, I assume, and I have just copied that. Also it means that the set doesn’t have to be turned on a turntable or Y… I keep the engines that we use paired together, I don’t change them out… That way, it only requires one Revo transmitter to run the pair… But all my loco’s have a revo receiver and their own battery installed in them…

Nowadays railroads share everyone’s loco’s, so I don’t limit running just certain railroads specifically together. They got paired together because they were both operational at the same time…

There was an SP/SF was a merger that didn’t go through, even though some equipment was lettered for it. So it could have happened …

Good job, Matt! You are truly catching the flavor of the railroad.

I would, but after about a year of it acting up…the front motor block gave out at Robby’s open house. It’s a shelf queen now. I was told that USA Trains is supposed to be re producing the sd40-2. So, fingers crossed, by the end of the year, I can find a couple new motor blocks
