Steam in the Maine snow

I finally got the snow cleared off the line, and all the twigs from the storms since before Christmas. Time to run a train!

OUTSTANDING! (https://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-laughing.gif)(https://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-laughing.gif)(https://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-laughing.gif)

Eric, That video is sooooo cool, and I’m not referring to the temperature. As always your layout is awesome and your cinematography is amazing. I had to watch the video several times. I would have to give you a perfect 10! Thanks for sharing. Mark

Great vid! I like the dory on the flat car.

Thanks guys it is fun to run steam in the snow! Today i worked full scale. I didnt actually run the train but it sure looked good i the snow! Ill post a photo in a bit!

P.S. the boat is technically not a dory but a Whitehall pulling boat. Dorys are built differently with a wide flat bottom. A more basic and utilitarian vessel. Whitehalls were fancier and intended as efficient rowing boats.

the ice finally melted off the line … AND the sun came out. a perfect day to run a train … well almost perfect.

Nice. That white house blows me away every time I see it (https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)

Eric that whistle reminds me so much of this…https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ki-3NyJZRJ4....if you haven’t been there you really should check it out as it was Abe Lincolns route to Gettysburg for the address …My video sucks as I forgot to turn off numerous features on a new camera I still don’t understand. Hollywood left his camera on a stump at the crossing …WTF?

Great stuff Eric and I don’t even like steam!

What happened at the end? (https://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cry.gif)

Oh, you know, just the usual. This is a spring switch, but there was ice some where that prevented it from completely flipping to the diverging route.

well we had some more snow then some warm rain overnight soooo…

I took my Dora Rail bus out for a spin. it was a nice sunny afternoon. The driveway is a sheet of ice, some snow still around but walking is dangerous with out cleats on your feet!

I hear your tea kettle whistlin…(https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)(https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)
