Only 3 weeks away in Fullerton is the big Southern California Railroad Days railroad show – and it is free! Bring your family. Kid photos are encouraged next to the 4-8-4 steamer that is lit up and steaming or in the cab of the newest BNSF giant diesel – plus, Disney’s loco and passenger car. Walk through the four cabooses from 1929 -1981 and the two 1940s immaculate passenger/lounge cars. The 10+ modular RR model clubs are out in force and will be up and running their large layouts. We had 34,000 visitors last year, so come early - opens at 9:00 AM - and park in the stack off Santa Fe Ave, off Harbor. Then you walk 100 yards from the stack to the station and show. Come early and enjoy the pancake breakfast!

Saturday and Sunday, May 6th and 7th

Fullerton, Calif.

If you want to try “real scale” as a hobby, there are plenty of hobby skills going on at the Fullerton Train Museum on the “real” thing – where Railroad Days is located.

Drop by on a Saturday morning and see the restoration skills being demonstrated. There is something here for everyone. At this point, preparing for RR Days, the passenger cars are getting some paint detailing. Meanwhile, there is woodworking construction in the caboose that’s under restoration. If you are electrically aware, there’s plenty of simple and complex wiring needed as we are converting the 1940s electrical to meet current needs. Since there’s plenty of stainless trim in the passenger cars, we welcome those who simply like to bring beauty back to life. Hope to see you on the 6th or 7th!
