Large Scale Central

LGB Centerflow to trinity 2 bay

I cut up a LGB center flow and tried my hand at a two bay trinity hopper

rivet counters will be disappointed.

many thanks to Stan Cedarleaf for his patience with me

as usual I am hoping that nice decals and a bit of weathering hide the lousy craftsmanship

Nice!

Edit to say : 10’ rule and remember it will be a piece of unique rolling stock while running.

Looks like a nice kitbash to me. As Dave said its unique .

I think it looks great. Where is the seam? You were brave to experiment on a LGB car and not a cheaper Bachmann.

Your work bench looks like mine with a tiny spot to work. LOL

John, great bash… (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)

It is always satisfying to see something you tried work out and look better than you thought it would in the end.

I like it. The only thing I might have done different would be to remove the middle-most two roofwalk supports and replace them with a single support. I don’t remember how the roofwalks were made on the LGB cars though, so it might be more trouble than its worth.

The decals are spot on, as you can see from the prototype:

thanks guys!!!

can’t look at it anymore

all i see are the faults

I’m calling it done!

thanks again to Stan C

I

Yea, we can get like that. We see faults, and others see an excellent model. That means that you have advanced to a higher stage of model building.

Looks just fine to me John …but if you wanna be fussy lighten up the ladder rungs and roof walk supports.

10’ rule always wins outside

That two bay looks sharp! But that chessie hopper in front of it really has my eye!
