Nice video Scott. (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)

Great video at a neat event. I really liked some of the NT shots too. Especially the 4 horse power “motor” at the end.

That was a beautiful 0-6-0? of Ryan’s. What make was it? The slow speed was incredible. I going to try and watch this on a bigger screen later.

Randy, this is an Aster/LGB Frank S (americanized). Best wishes from Tokyo, Zubi

Correct: The give away on that locomotive since it has been so heavily detailed to hide its heritage is the rubber cap that covers the pressure gauge that is visible from the cab roof. The fact that the rubber cover hasn’t been lost after all these years is also pretty amazing. The other loco that Ryan had there was a Pearce 0-4-0 switcher which also gave a flawless performance over the weekend.

Cheers,

Scott

Thanks Guys. I guess it’s pedigree explains the fantastic running. Scott thanks for pointing out the presence of the additional Pearce 0-4-0. I thought in those far shots it looked too small. What an excellent job on the Aster makeover. Do you know if there was a specific prototype for the inspiration? I do now more than ever need to watch this on a big screen at home.
