My MTH Big Boy pulling 11 New bright tank cars that I have added MTH trucks to and Kadees. New paint/decals for some of them. I bet it’s the longest New Bright tank train in existence!

That is one big boy, How much does it weigh(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)? Must take two people to put it on the track.

Yeah Jerry, The choice of motive power might be overkill. Love the tank train. I’ve always been partial to small tanks. Now you just need 11 more to start giving that Big Boy a little work out.

Thanks guys, tired of messing with the tank cars, so this is probably it. My layout is not big enough for real long trains anyway. BUt I love the BB. Ron, the MTH BIg Boy does not weigh all that much, 20 lbs plus the tender is 7 lbs. the USA one is the heavy one, since it is metal and 1/29. MTH is 1/32, hence the small tank cars. I made a simple carrier for the BB, just the locomotive on it. I did a long one for my MTH challenger, but it is heavy and awkward, since it is about 4’ long with the tender! May chop it down.

BB on carrier. I’ve since switched to velcro strips.

Just the carrier. 1/4" ply with a wood strip down the middle. Extra strips underneath for strength. Tapered wood on the ends.
