Another useless post from Rooster

Took ONE of my girlfriends to lunch today here…https://www.wghsea.org/ The food is incredible! I love old lady’s in the kitchen! Two giant pulled pork sandwiches with horseradish, a quart of ham and bean soup and a quart of chicken pot pie $40 later after entrance fee it’s all good and I don’t even like steam!

My other girlfriend stayed home as she would probably have jumped out of her skin at noon today!

Rooster;

Is that the Old Threshermen’s Reunion at Kinzers, PA? Always wanted to go, but live too far away now. My boss at the Dry Gulch Railroad at Hershey Park was a steam traction man. I learned a lot more about caring for steam machinery from him than I would have from a strictly railroad engineer. Farmers had to keep those engines running, so they knew and learned how to fix them. I got to where I could pull the guts from a (water) injector, clean them in an acid bath, put them back into the injector body the RIGHT way, and have that injector slamming water into the boiler again in five minutes.

You’ve done good “Roosta”

Are the two unique whistles your buddy’s tractor

Good stuff. We get the “noon whistle” at the Tuckahoe Steam & Gas show every year in MD. Sawmill too!

Honestly Bruce,

I suppose it’s all in whom you ask as it was posted in the “General Discussion” area of the forums. I could have asked “how many articulated cars are in this train” video taken by Hollywood and Rooster back in the day in the hood? Real names only as nicknames are useless here on LSC unless LSC gives you those nicknames?

I kant believe I speled articulated corectly !

I’m confused. WHAT makes it useless? (Or is it just because of YOU?)

I counted 2 locomotives, I ES44 and one C 40 77 autoracks, with 2 articulated sets an #17 and 18 and one more articulated set @#37 , so 3 sets. nice video ! Even if it was way back when!

How many vehicles can they fit inside each autorack?

Still not sure what I wanna do but I did extend the Viaduct/faux concrete wall, along with reusing what I could and still reusing currently. “Thinking” !

that’s, what you got by choosing to modell amtrack…

…the need for endless long sidings.

Thread title has my brain doing one of those word things it sometimes does; if “Useless Rooster” was a band name what would they play?

That space between turnouts to yard tracks looks like the kind of space where a switchman’s shack would fit nicely.

While I might prefer the “Useless Rooster” play some Drifter’s tunes, I suspect they would probably play some "C"rap? (WHY is the “C” silent???)

I would really expect more than just some shacks…
